David Given - Managing Partner
David has been with the group since 1990. Prior to joining the group, David was a shareholder, director and executive vice president of Automated Tracking Systems (Hudson, Ohio). From 1980-88, he held various positions in the Corporate Finance Department of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets and Robertson, Colman & Stephens in New York and San Francisco. David received a B.A. in economics from Brown University and an MBA from the Wharton School. Presently, he serves as a director of Amrep, Engineered Materials Solutions, Packers Sanitation and VSR Logistics.



John Kirby - Managing Partner
John has more than 17 years of experience in equity capital investing, having served as vice president and area head of Citicorp Venture Capital prior to joining the group in 1991. Prior to his career with Citicorp Venture Capital, John was with the Leveraged Funding Group of Citibank, specializing in leveraged buyout transactions. John graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in economics. John serves as a director of Apex Companies, Floral Plant Growers, Hilite International, MarketPoint Direct, Quality Synthetic Rubber and The Lion Brewery.



John LeMay - Partner
John joined the group in 1998 from the Boston Consulting Group, Inc., where he was a manager and focused on growth strategy and operational effectiveness for clients in a range of industries. Prior to attending business school, John was with Salomon Brothers Inc., where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. John earned a B.S. in economics from Miami University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. John serves as a director of Apex Companies, MarketPoint Direct, Packers Sanitation and Quality Synthetic Rubber.



Sean Ward - Partner
Sean joined the group in 1990. Prior to joining the group, Sean held various positions within KeyCorp, including Investment Banking and Credit Administration. Sean earned a B.S. in economics from Allegheny College and an MBA from John Carroll University. Sean serves as a director of Floral Plant Growers.






Jim Marra - Director of Business Development
Jim joined the group in 1991. Before joining the group, Jim held various positions with Citicorp in the Leveraged Capital, Investment Banking and Venture Capital Groups. Jim earned a B.S. in psychology from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.






Bill Lehr - Vice President
Prior to joining the group in 1998, Bill was involved in the Structured Finance and Institutional Asset Services department at KeyCorp. He has five years of experience as a commercial insurance underwriter with Hartford Insurance Group. Bill holds a B.A. degree from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.






Paul Neundorfer - Vice President
Prior to joining the group in 2004, Paul was an associate in the Bank of New York’s mezzanine and private equity group. Paul previously worked as an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers, primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Paul graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in economics.






Blake Oatey - Associate
Blake joined the group in 2007. Previously, Blake was an investment banking analyst in the industrial group at Morgan Joseph & Co. in Nashville. Blake graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in business administration.







Jon Pressnell - Associate
Jon joined the group in 2007. Previously, Jon was an investment banking analyst in the mergers and acquisitions group at KeyBanc Capital Markets in Cleveland. Prior to joining KeyBanc Capital Markets, Jon worked at Ernst & Young. Jon holds a B.S.B.A. in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.






Neil Sullivan - Associate
Neil joined the group in 2007. Previously, Neil was with Morgan Stanley's Global Wealth Management Group in Chicago. Prior to that he lived in Japan where he taught English to Japanese students. Neil graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.A. in European history.
